Groupage transport
Sometimes you have goods that are too large for a parcel service, but too small for a full truck. That’s when groupage transport comes in handy. At RFT Logistics we bundle loads from different customers into one trip. From our logistics hub in Roosendaal we plan and organize transport throughout the Netherlands and to various destinations in France. This way we make optimal use of our trucks and your shipment arrives at its destination without any hassle.
What is groupage transport?
Groupage transport means that multiple shipments from different clients are combined into a single truck. This way no half-empty truck is on the road, but we make optimal use of the available space. For you, this means you don't need to take a full truckload, yet you still benefit from professional road transport.
The big advantage is that you share the costs with other clients, while your shipment receives the same care and attention as a full truckload. Additionally, it is often more sustainable: by combining loads, fewer trips are needed and CO2 emissions are reduced. Our preference is for loads of at least a few full pallets, but smaller quantities can also be combined with other freight. This way you benefit from the advantages of a full truck, without having to fill it yourself.
From Roosendaal, onto the road.
In Roosendaal we collect the goods. Whether they come from the Randstad, Brabant or Antwerp: with us, it all comes together. From this logistics hub we consolidate the loads and plan our routes so that every shipment moves efficiently and without detours toward the destination in the Netherlands or toward France. Because we handle the entire process ourselves, we know exactly what happens along the way. And if anything changes, we switch quickly. This keeps your shipment moving, without unnecessary delays.

Consolidated transport to France.
France is a regular destination for us. From Roosendaal we depart weekly with shipments to, for example, Lyon. Sometimes we load ten full pallets at one address, sometimes we collect smaller consignments from multiple customers. Everything comes together with us and then leaves in a single truck toward France.
Our people know the French roads and customs well. That not only saves time, but also prevents misunderstandings at delivery. Because we speak the language and have years of experience with (groupage) transport to France, communication with recipients and partners runs smoothly.
Drivers and a team that take care of it.
Our drivers know how it works. They handle ADR- and non-ADR shipments on a daily basis and ensure that your goods are neatly delivered to the right place. In the office, our team stays in touch with the drivers and with you. If something goes wrong on the way, for example a traffic jam or road closure, we’ll let you know. That way, you’ll never be surprised.
How does it work at RFT Logistics?
Arranging a groupage shipment doesn't have to be complicated. Here's how we handle it:
You call or email us with your transport request
We note the loading and unloading addresses, opening hours, and the dimensions of your goods
We check whether the necessary equipment is available, such as a forklift or pallet jack
Our planner combines your cargo with other shipments and starts the route
With this approach you know in advance exactly what we need from you and how the follow-up will look. No complicated forms or endless portals: you provide the information, we take care of the rest. Do you want to get started right away? Then you can easily submit your transport request to our team.

Do you have goods for groupage transport? Call or email us and we'll work together to determine the best solution.
From foodstuffs to solar panels, from timber to long goods. And let's not forget hazardous substances (ADR). Contact us directly and we'll get to work for you!
Of course, we would like to know in advance how your shipment is packaged. We prefer products that are palletized, or can be palletized. And it's always nice if you have your own forklift when we come on-site to load or unload. We can always load/unload the pallets with the help of a loading ramp.
Our transparency and the fact that we always seek a solution, even if it is unconventional, have taken us a long way in the past, and we are eager to continue doing so with even more intensity!
